Jane Horwood awarded CCs for the first time at WELKS. Jane had an entry of 53 dogs making 58 entries and just 2 absentees – 1 from junior dog and one from post graduate dog. BOB went to the BCC winner – Carole Mumby’s Kilbarchan’s Exclusive Copy for Carmichan JW Sh CM bred by Helen Moffat (Ch Carmichan Jazzy Jet JW x Ch Kilbarchan’s Final Copy). Zena Thorn Andrews gave Exclusive Copy her first CC with BOB at City of Birmingham last August. The DCC was a first for Carol Carlyle’s homebred Induna Little Tommy Tucker (Ch Ingerdorm Pickpocket JW x Induna Anna) Tommy won his first RCC at Midland Counties last October under Ellis Hulme. Julie McEvoy’s homebred Ch Balata Rite Bobby Dazzler (Ch Darkle Devil May Care x Ch Darkle Demi Monde at Balata) won the RDCC and Carole Mumby’s homebred Carmichan Just Jazzin (Ch Scapafield Schwarz Jet x Ch Ingerdorm Peggety at Carmichan) won the RBCC. BP went to Julie McEvoy and Josie Harvey’s Avantgarde Angelis for Balata bred by Delia Shepherd. Unfortunately, I don’t have the breeding details for Angelis. Well done, as always, to the winners.

I have details of the entries for Scottish Kennel Club Champ show later on this month, where Geoff Curr is awarding CCs in Affenpinschers for the first time. There are 39 dogs entered making 45 entries and that is made up of 15 dogs and 24 bitches. Toni Teasdale has an entry of 44 dogs making 48 entries for Birmingham which takes place tomorrow.

The May edition of the Kennel Gazette, which featured the Affenpinscher as the judges’ choice, listed some judges for 2009. Geoffrey Davies will judge Manchester in January, breed specialist John Turner will judge Birmingham in May and Joyce Mitchell will judge Blackpool in June.
