Our Dogs 29th August 2008

Bill Browne-Cole judged Welsh KC and had an entry of 64 dogs making 69 entries. BOB went to the DCC winner - Jeni Wiggins’ Ch Kilbarchan’s Xtra Copy for Scapafield JW Sh. CM bred by Helen Moffat (Ch Carmichan Jazzy Jet JW x Ch Kilbarchan’s Final Copy). This was Xtra Copy’s sixth CC. The BCC was a fifth for Xtra Copy’s litter sister – Carole Mumby’s Ch Kilbarchan’s Exclusive Copy for Carmichan JW Sh CM.  The RDCC went to Josie Harvey and Julie McEvoy’s Ch Kilbarchan’s Master Copy JW who was also out of the same litter.  The RBCC went to Helen’s homebred Kilbarchan’s Hot Copy who has the same breeding as the winning litter, but is 7 months older. A clean sweep for the Kilbarchan Kennel – Helen must be extremely proud. BP was a first for Faye Currie’s Avantgarde Airbourne Lad who is by the RDCC winner out of Avantgarde Naughty Mariette and is bred by Delia Shepherd and Stuart Cordon. Congratulations to Jeni, Carole, Julie, Josie, Helen and Faye.

Jessica has kindly e-mailed me to tell me that Darkle Mirrikyn won her final point for her Junior Warrant at Paignton under Jean Lanning. She is just 10 months old - the same age as her grandmother, Darkle Minor Misdemeanor, was when she won her JW. Mirrikyn is currently the half way leader for the Pedigree Top Puppy Award 2008. Well done to Jessica and Mirrikyn.
We received our copies of Monkey Business shortly after Welsh KC and thanks must go to our hard working editor who works hard to ensure deadlines are met and we get our copies on time.  MB really is getting more professional with each new issue. Thank you, Dee; we do appreciate all your hard work.
