Our Dogs 22nd August 2008

Christine McFarlane judged Bournemouth and had an entry 55 dogs making 57 entries with 8 absentees. BOB went to the DCC winner - Jeni Wiggins’ Ch Kilbarchan’s Xtra Copy for Scapafield JW Sh. CM bred by Helen Moffat (Ch Carmichan Jazzy Jet JW x Ch Kilbarchan’s Final Copy). This was Xtra Copy’s fifth CC. The BCC was a first for Suzanne Pirrie’s Mimosa of Riogaioch (Furstin Future Perfect at Tarcalion x Orlock Oltenia with Riogaioch) bred by Suzanne and Mhairi Brown. The RDCC went to Julie McEvoy’s Ch Carmichan Kit N Caboodle for Balata JW bred by Carole Mumby (Ch Darkle Devil May Care x Carmichan Just Jazzin) and the RBCC went to Jessica Gruninger’s Attila Urban Clash by Darkle bred by Chris and Dee Hayes (Ch Darkle Devil May Care x Attila Thunderheart). Urban Clash won the RBCC at Paignton four days previously. It was another BP for Sarah McGill’s homebred Winterkloud Empress sired by the BOB winner. (Ch Kilbarchan’s Xtra Copy for Scapafield JW Sh CM x Cransbere Tyegah Lillie of Winterkloud).  Well done to Jeni, Suzanne, Julie, Jessica and Sarah.

Orlock Darvell (Svennis) has won his qualifying CC and has achieved his Swedish title. Svennis won CACIB, BOB and was placed Group 5 at an International all breed show – a great achievement in Group 2. He is by Furstin Future Perfect at Tarcalion out of Orlock Elisabeta. Well done to his owners, Maria and Veronica from Sweden and his breeders, Mhairi Brown and Andrew Oliver.

Many congratulations to my fellow breed note writer, Vanessa, on achieving her degree. I am sure all the long hours of study now seem worth it and Vanessa can now enjoy the rest of the summer caravanning with her dogs.

A reminder that any adverts for the Affenpinscher Year Book 2008 need to be with either Karen Edwards or Ros Brakes by September 6th (Richmond) at the latest.
