Our Dogs 18th April 2008

Carole Mumby and Faye Currie have kindly let me know about their latest wins at Open Shows. At Retford Canine Society’s Open Show on March 30th Carole’s Kilbarchan’s Exclusive Copy for Carmichan JW Sh CM bred by Helen Moffat (Ch Carmichan Jazzy Jet JW x Ch Kilbarchan’s Final Copy) won BOB and Toy Group 1. Carole’s Carmichan Jazz Meena bred by Jane Waterfield (Ch Carmichan Jazzy Jet JW x Carmichan Jorja) won BP and Puppy Group 3. The breed judge and group judge was Linda Pierson (Kiltondale).How nice to see Affenpinschers flying the flag in the group – they have been overlooked for far too long!

At the Toy Dog Society of Wales Open Show on April 6th Faye’s Capricho Herzog Herman (Ch Darkle Devil May Care x Capricho Graffin Sissi) bred by Gina Gingell won BOB under Julie Baldwin. BP was Faye’s Avantgarde Airborne Lad (Kilbarchan’s Master Copy JW x Avantgarde Naughty Mariette) bred by Delia Shepherd. Well done to Carole and Faye

On a sad note I report the death of Karen Edwards’ husband, Ray. Ray had been seriously ill and had been in hospital for some time. Karen had been caring for him at home but as his condition worsened he was re-admitted to hospital where he died. Our deepest sympathy goes to Karen and her family at this sad time.
