Ann Arch judged UK Toy and awarded BOB to her DCC winner, Barry Wiggins’ and Karen Edwards’ Roxilyn Just Joey with Scapafield JW bred by Karen and handled by Jeni ( Ch Scapafield Schwarz Jet x Ch Avantgarde Madam Moonshine). The BCC went to Toni Teasdale’s homebred Tonsarne Idle Gossip (Tonsarne Red Hot Patootie x Ch Tonsarne Tittle Tattle). These were second CCs for both dogs. RDCC went to Jessica Gruninger’s Ch Downsbank Tattie Bogle with Marchog bred by Ruth Mochrie (Ch Darkle Devil May Care x Kilbarchan’s Hotenuff) and the RBCC went to Carol Carlyle’s homebred Induna Lilly (Ch Darkle Devil May Care x Tonsarne Shana Pumym to Induna). BP went to Jessica’s homebred Darkle Mirrikyn (Ch Darkle Devil May Care x Darkle Minnikyn) and BV went to the father of both the RCC winners and the BP – Jessica’s homebred Ch Darkle Devil May Care (Carmichan Rabskallion x Avantgarde Dominatrix Sumo). I have details of an All Breed Educational Day to be held on Sunday 1st June at St John’s Ambulance Hall, Horley, Surrey. Tickets are priced at £25 each and all proceeds will go to Cambridge University Research into Canine Hepatitis. Carole Coode (Warringah Labradors) will talk about the in- whelp and lactating bitch, rearing a litter and selecting a puppy for the show ring. Gareth Lawler (Roqfolly ESS and Cockers) will explain type and anatomy, breed development whys and wherefores, the judge and being judged. Peter Upton (Tragus Vizlas and Clumbers) will provide a practical demonstration on ring techniques and getting the best out of your dog in the ring.
