A correction to my notes from last week - I reported that Carole Mumby’s Ch Kilbarchan’s Exclusive Copy for Carmichan JW Sh CM won her fifth CC at Welsh KC under Bill Browne-Cole when in fact it was her sixth CC.
Carole Mumby has e-mailed me to let me know that her Carmichan Jazz Meena gained her final points for her JW at Leeds. Jazz Meena is by Ch Carmichan Jazzy Jet JW out of Carmichan Jorga and is bred by Jane Waterfield. Jane must be very proud of her first JW winner so well done to Jane and Carole.
Breed specialist Andrew Stewart (Ingerdorm) judged Scottish Kennel Club without CCs and awarded BOB to Sarah McGill’s Ch/Am Ch Unkle Urkle at Cransbere JW bred by Mrs Ellis (Ch Prince Rupert of Cransbere x Suphelli Moonshine Minx). Andrew had an entry of 7 dogs with 4 absentees.
Gillian Obringer kindly sent me a link to an Irish website which gives the show results so I can bring you the results from Ireland as soon as they go online and not have to bother Joyce and Kay for them before they have even unpacked!
On August 16th Mr W McCrum judged Navan Dog Show. The Dog Green Star and BOB went to Joyce Warrington’s Bodebi Surprisingly Magic at Bolmacs bred by John and the late Gary Turner and the Bitch Green Star and RBOB went to Kay Downs’ homebred Stopford Furry Nuff. The RDGS went to Kay’s Tonsarne Turveydrop bred by Toni Teasdale and the RBGS went to Mrs McClenaghan’s Ir Ch Tarcalion Fairdinkum bred by Vera Brown. Joyce and Surprisingly Magic had their picture in last week’s OD after their very impressive win - second in a large Group 2.
On 19th August at Killarney and District Champ Show Mrs B Warman awarded the DGS to Kay’s Turveydrop and the BGS to Liz and Nigel Bates’ homebred Ir Ch Batendach Just Peaches. The RDGS went to one of Joyce’s new puppies – Bolmacs Arglwydd Huxley who is by Pennington Prince Michael and the RBGS went to the Bates’ homebred Batendach I’m a Princess. BOB went to Ir Ch Batendach Just Peaches and RBOB to Tonsarne Turveydrop.
Mrs V P Kumpumaki judged Limerick and District Show and awarded Joyce’s homebred Bolmacs Black Sapphire JW the BGS and BOB and Joyce’s puppy Huxley the DGS and RBOB. Kay’s Turveydrop took the RDGS and Huxley’s litter sister, Bolmacs Elizabeth Would took the RBGS.
Mrs C Clapp judged Tralee Show and awarded Turveydrop the DGS and BOB and Black Sapphire the BGS and RBOB. Huxley and Elizabeth took the RDGS and the RBGS. Well done to Joyce, Kay, Liz and Nigel and Mrs McClenaghan.
