Jane Horwood awarded CCs in the breed for the first time at WELKS.  She had 53 Affenpinschers making an entry of 57 with 2 absentees.  Jane awarded Best of Breed to the Bitch CC winner, Carole Mumby’s Kilbarchan Exclusive Copy for Carmichan JW ShCM - her 2nd CC.  Exclusive Copy was bred by Helen Moffatt and is sired by Ch. Carmichan Jazzy Jet JW ex Ch. Kilbarchan’s Final Copy.  The Dog CC was a first for Carol Carlyle’s homebred Induna Little Tommy Tucker sired by Ch. Ingerdorm Pickpocket JW ex Induna Anna.  The Reserve CCs went to Ch. Balata Rite Bobby Dazzler and Carole’s Carmichan Just Jazzin.  Both are homebred - Julie McEvoy’s dog, Bobby Dazzler, is sired by Ch. Darkle Devil May Care ex Ch. Darkle Demi Monde at Balata.  Carole’s bitch is sired by Ch. Scapafield Schwarz Jet ex Ch. Ingerdorm Peggety at Carmichan.  Julie won Best Puppy also with Avantgarde Angelis for Balata.  Bred by Delia Shepherd and Stuart Cordon, he is sired by Ch. Kit N Caboodle for Balata ex Ch. Avantgarde Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

The Affenpinscher is the featured breed in this month’s Judge’s Choice in the ‘Kennel Gazette’.  An interesting mix of views with pictures from the past up to the present time.

Approved Judges for 2009 just announced are : -  Geoffrey Davies – Manchester (January);  John Turner – Birmingham (May) and Joyce Mitchell – Blackpool (June).  All three have awarded CCs previously in Affenpinschers.
