AFFENPINSCHER BREED NOTES - 6th February 2008

We are looking for volunteers to man the Affenpinscher booth at Discover Dogs at Crufts this year.   If you feel you and your dog(s) are up to it, please contact me as soon as possible. (01932 847679)    It can be a very enjoyable experience both for the owners and the dogs.   If you don't know what is expected of you and would like more information before committing yourself do get in touch.   Discover Dogs is a good opportunity to present the breed to the public and help potential owners to find out if an Affenpinscher would be suitable for their particular lifestyle.

Only one nomination has been received for the vacant Affenpinscher Club committee position so a vote will not be necessary.   Chris Hayes will be a welcome addition to this year's committee.

The annual   Champflower Trophy and Puppy Award competitions will take place on Saturday 15 th March at Hilton Village Hall in Derbyshire.   This year the judge will be Howard Ogden who is well known to most of you.   Qualified dogs for the Champflower Trophy are those who have won a CC in 2007 plus Best of Sex at the Club Open Show.   Best Puppies at Ch. Shows where CCs were on offer for the breed plus Best Puppy at the Club Open Show qualify to compete for the Puppy Award.    Invitations to all will be sent out shortly.
