AFFENPINSCHER BREED NOTES - 27th June 2008

We have a new Champion in the breed. At Blackpool where Ann Horan was judging an entry of 28 less 2 absentees, Carole Mumby’s homebred Carmichan Just Jazzin won her 3rd CC and was also Best of Breed. Just Jazzin is a daughter of Ch. Scapafield Schwarz Jet ex Ch. Ingerdorm Peggety at Carmichan and is 5½ years old. Carole did the double winning the Dog CC also with Carmichan Jack Jazzamatazz JW, also homebred and sired by Ch. Carmichan Jazzy Jet JW ex Carmichan Somebody to Love JW. The Reserves went to Sarah McGill’s dog Ch/Am Ch. Uncle Urkle at Cransbere JW and my own Ch. Tonsarne Idle Gossip. Uncle Urkle was bred by Michelle Conniff and is by Ch. Avantgarde Prince Rupert of Cransbere ex Suphelli Moonshine Minx and Gossip is homebred by Tonsarne Red Hot Patootie ex Ch. Tonsarne Tittle-Tattle. Best Puppy was Tonsarne Little Black Book, bred by me and jointly owned with Edythe and Joel Fishbach. Also by Red Hot Patootie ex Tonsarne Huff N Puff.

The two absentees on the day were Karen Edwards’ girls. Karen unfortunately had an accident in the garden the previous weekend and had had surgery on her left hand. Unable to drive she had to stay at home. Hopefully she will be back behind the wheel soon.

By all accounts we had the best day at Blackpool. Although it was breezy and very chilly when our judging started, the weather had warmed up by the afternoon and it was very pleasant sitting by the ring in the sunshine. No hint of what was to come by the third day of the show.

Margaret Boulcott sent me news of Ingerdorm dogs that have been doing well overseas. Rosara Rock N Roll won his junior champion title in Moscow. Ch. Ingerdorm Drusilla is now a Swedish champion and this makes her an International Champion. Hugger Mugger at Furstin also owned by Margaret now has his Nordic title. Further afield Zambian and Zimbabwe Ch. Xela Ingerdorm Cracker Jack has just won his 3rd Best in Show at an All Breeds Championship Show on the African continent.
