AFFENPINSCHER BREED NOTES - 26th March 2008

Classes for Affenpinschers at Birmingham Toy Dog are supported by the Club offering prize money for Best of Breed and Best Puppy.  Normally the entry is very good but it was not the case at the society’s recent show, possibly because it was on Easter Saturday.  Janet Beale showed her youngster Jarube Knight to Remember, now 13½ months old, who won Best of Breed under breed judge Ruth Mochrie.  Janet was delighted with the £15 prize money and even more pleased when she was placed 4th in Best in Show under Roger Chaston.  Well done.  Knight to Remember is homebred and sired by Jarube Sir Lamorack ex Caralean Black Number at Jarube.

I have some more European news this week.  Int. Ch. Jarube Sir Perceval’s son Imrun’s Theodore Roosevelt bred by the Axelsens in Norway was shown in Riga, Latvia and won the Latvian Winner Title.  He is now both a Latvian and Baltic Champion.
