Judging List Criteria

A1 List

Judges who have the support of the Affenpinscher Club and have given CCs in the breed already.

A2 List

Judges who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with the Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on the A2 List and have the support of the Affenpinscher Club.

A3 List

Judges whom the Affenpinscher Club would support should they be offered an appointment to award CCs. To be considered for this list Judges must satisfy Condition 1 listed below plus 2 others of the Conditions 2 - 6.

• To have judges at least sixty Affenpinschers (number of dogs present, not total entries) at a minimum of five shows.

• To have been on the Affenpinscher B List for at least three years.

• To have judged an Affenpinscher Club Open Show.

• To have regularly exhibited or handled Affenpinschers for at least seven years.

• To have passed the Judges Training Scheme organised by the Affenpinscher Club.

• To have awarded CCs in at least one other breed.

In addition the following Kennel Club mandatory criteria apply to Breed Specialists.

A. To have stewarded at 12 Shows.

B. To have a minimum of seven years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the Affenpinscher Club.

C. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.

D. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.

E. To have attended a Conformation and Movement 'Hands-on Assessment' conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.

F. To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

G. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of three Affenpinschers when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (save in exceptional circumstances).

In addition the following Kennel Club mandatory criteria apply to Non Specialists or those who award CCs in another breed.

a. A minimum of seven years judging experience in any one breed (to include five years in Affenpinschers) and have the support of the Affenpinscher Club.

b. To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

The names of Judges who meet the above criteria are discussed in committee and a secret ballot of the judges sub-committee members decides whether the name should be added to the A3 List. The successful candidate will require a simple majority of the votes for their name to be added to the List. A Judge voted on to the A3 List who subsequently is passed by the Kennel Club to award CCs in the breed, will be transferred automatically to the A1 List once the appointment has been carried out.

B List

This list contains the names of those judging at Open Show level including Championship Shows where CCs are NOT on offer. Applicants should submit their CV to the Secretary, which will be discussed by the Judges sub-committee and voted upon by secret ballot. A simple majority in favour will be required for the Judge's name to go on to the List. Candidates should fulfil two of the criteria 1 - 4.

• To have successfully completed the Affenpinscher Club's Judges Training Scheme.
• To have judged five classes of Affenpinschers with at least three new dogs present in each class.
• Passed by the Kennel Club to award CCs in another Toy Breed.
• To have been actively involved with any other breed for seven years and to have judged that breed already.

Fulfilment of the above criteria does not mean automatic inclusion on the list. In addition, the judges sub-committee may consider CVs from experienced judges who do not fit the above criteria but who, in the opinion of the judges sub-committee, would be a worthy addition to the Affenpinscher Club's B Judging List.

C List

For aspirant Judges who do not fit into any of the above categories. The judges sub-committee will consider submitted CVs which will be voted on by a secret ballot. A simple majority in favour being necessary for the candidates name to be added to the list.
